World Vision International Lesotho, through European Union Humanitarian Aid, recognizes the pressing need for disaster preparedness and resilience-building efforts in Lesotho, particularly in rural areas that are highly vulnerable to climate change-related challenges. The Strengthening and consolidating national and community capacities for effective disaster preparedness and response in Lesotho is addressing these issues and fostering community-level resilience.

“If it were not for Farming God’s Way, my family and I would have continued to live a life of suffering,” says 55-year-old Leni Chisamu Leni and her husband, Mailoni Chisamu, 61, have lived their whole lives trying different businesses to make ends meet but have failed to earn a stable income and provide for their six children.

World Vision spoke to more than 2,000 children and young people from 23 countries to hear their views about violence against children. This is part of World Vision commitment to listen to children and young people, and we take their opinions seriously.

The book is a collection of success stories from three countries namely Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi where Empowered World View is implemented. These are only few countries where the EWV is implemented. It was launched on 1st March 2018 in Dar es salaam.

In Peru, many believe disability is a punishment from God or caused by witchcraft. These myths mean the parents of disabled children often keep them indoors and refuse them the right to play or to gain an education.

World Vision is continuing to scale up its response to the conflict in Ukraine, as the number of children and families displaced passes 10 million.
